The Pirelli Scorpion R is a special mountain bike rear wheel tire. It delivers top performance in wet and dry weather conditions. The profile consists of medium-length studs arranged in a medium-sized spaced pattern. The rubber compound ensures a service life that is in no way inferior to that of a front tire. It is also perfectly designed for mounting on modern wheels with large rim width.
Unique to PIRELLI Scorpion mountain bike tires is a continuous layer of Smart Grip Compound. The advantage is that the high performance of the studs is retained even after a long period of use. This guarantees uncompromising traction, both in dry and wet ground conditions.
The tear-resistant rubber compound in combination with a reinforced 60 TPI carcass and 120 TPI side wall reinforcement provides additional stab and cut protection.
